Istanbul To Host Third Round of Russia-Ukraine Talks; Trump Demands Ceasefire In 50 Days

Istanbul is set to host the third round of Russia-Ukraine peace talks between July 21st and 27th, as proposed by Ukraine. The focus is on prisoner swaps, the return of displaced children, and pushing for a long-overdue ceasefire. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is calling for faster progress and even suggests a leaders-level summit to secure long-term peace.

Moscow has not confirmed a date yet, but Kremlin officials say President Putin is ready to talk, while also emphasizing Russia’s goal to achieve its own strategic aims. Turkey is once again hosting the talks, hoping that this round will go beyond promises and deliver tangible results.
