Monsoon session like ‘Vijay Utsav’; PM Modi hails Operation Sindoor
Setting the tone for the Monsoon Session of Parliament, which commenced on Monday Prime Minister Narendra Modi said it would be a Vijay Utsav after Operation Sindoor in which Indian armed forces decimated terror targets deep inside Pakistan in barely 22 minutes.
Hoping the parliamentarians cutting across party lines would send a message of unity in this session and would celebrate the successes of Indian forces, the PM said India had achieved hundred per cent success in its military response Operation Sindoor following the Pahalgam terror attack, which shocked the world.
“Monsoon session is a Vijay Utsav after operation Sindoor in which we attained a 100 per cent success,” he said in his customary speech at the start of the proceedings.
PM Modi said Indian Forces destroyed terror targets in 22 minutes and the world witnessed the military prowess of made in India arms.
“Parliament must send a message of unity,” he said thanking MPs across parties for travelling the world after Operation Sindoor and “exposing terror patron Pakistan.”
The PM also spoke of Left-wing extremism being on its last legs and said the Constitution of India was winning before guns and bombs.
”Our security forces are moving fast towards success and I can say with pride that many districts have been liberated of LWE. Before bombs, guns our constitution is winning. Red corridors of yesterday are today green growth corridors,” he said me dining India’s strides in economy.
“In 2014, the country was in fragile five. Today we are moving towards becoming the third largest economy. Over 25 crore poor are out of poverty. Pre-2014, inflation rate was in double digit. Today 2 per cent inflation rate is giving a breather to common people.

Digital India and UPI represent India’s new capacities and most of the country is appreciating it,” PM said listing wide ranging achievements he said his government had attained in 11 years of power.
He said real time digital transaction was the highest in India and ILO has said that 90 crore plus Indians are now covered by social security.
He also mentioned the WHO declaring India Trachoma free.
On the Pahalgam tragedy, PM said it shocked the world and global attention was focused on terrorists.
“Most representatives of political parties went across the world and spoke in one voice to expose terrorists patron Pakistan. I want to praise them all. This created a positive atmosphere in the country. This spirit of unity fills the nation with excitement. In Monsoon session I hope we will celebrate national capacity, celebrate security forces and inspire our people,” he said adding: Dal hit mein mat Bhale naa mile par desh hit mein man Milne chahiyen (We may not get votes in party interests but our hearts must meet in national interest).
PM’s remarks came as the opposition have multiple notices for suspension of business in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to discuss the Pahalgam attack, Operation Sindoor and US President Donald Trump’s claims on the issue.
