Rare Pangolin spotted in Maharashtra’s Raigad village, rescued by locals and forest officials

A rare Indian pangolin was rescued from Khandad village in Raigad district after being spotted by a local youth. Wildlife researcher Shantanu Kuveskar educated villagers about pangolin preservation. It's speculated the pangolin may have been displaced from western forests due to recent floods, as villagers had never seen one before. The rescued pangolin was handed over to state forest officials.
