Airtaxi service has started! First Airtaxi flight from the airport completed successfully

First Airtaxi flight: Till now you must have seen only airplanes and helicopters flying in the air. But very soon you will also be able to see flying taxis flying in the air.

UK-based Vertical Aerospace has successfully completed the first airport-to-airport flight with its eVTOL AirTaxi designed for commercial use.

This is being considered a milestone in the electric aviation sector. With the completion of this flight, most of the obstacles in starting the AirTaxi service have been removed.

It has completed the world’s first airport-to-airport flight by a winged tilt-rotor eVTOL.

The company’s VX4 prototype flew from Cotswold Airport to the Royal International Air Tattoo (RAF) Fairford.

During its first airport-to-airport flight, the VX4 prototype covered a distance of 27 km at a speed of 185 km/h and reached a height of 1,800 feet.

This historic flight was completed on 16 July after receiving the flying conditions and flying permit issued by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Thousands of people were present to see this first airport-to-airport flight of Vertical Aerospace. This was the first real-world airport air taxi operation.

Vertical’s Chief Test Pilot, Simon Davis told the media that, “This is a great achievement and it is a real world demonstration of the aircraft world by the VX4 AirTaxi.

Talking about this prototype of Vertical Aerospace, it can fly in the air at a speed of 241 km per hour. Its flying range is up to 160 km.

It has seating arrangement for a total of 4 passengers excluding the pilot. Better space has been provided in the cabin, so that the journey is comfortable.

It is lightweight and strong due to carbon fiber composite construction. It has 8 propellers installed which help the VX4 to take-off and land from its place.
