Vande Bharat Ticket Booking Rules: If you want to travel by Vande Bharat Express and have not been able to book a ticket till the last moment, then no problem. Now you can book a ticket even 15 minutes before the departure of Vande Bharat Express train. According to the news of Ahmedabad Mirror, Western Railway can start this service for passengers soon. Currently, Southern Railway has started such a service as a pilot project from July 17. In this, this ‘current booking’ facility has been made available for eight Vande Bharat trains.
Booking from intermediate stations also
According to the news, now passengers can book tickets online on the basis of vacant seats from intermediate stations in these trains, even then only 15 minutes before the departure of the train from that station. Currently, this service has been started in trains like Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central Vande Bharat Express and its return service. According to the earlier system, as soon as the train left its source station, the facility of booking tickets from the forward stations was closed. But now this new system will provide more convenience to the passengers.
Booking will be done on seat availability
According to senior officials of Western Railway, if it is successful in Southern Railway and gets good feedback from the passengers, then it will be implemented in the entire Western Railway including Ahmedabad. According to the news of Ahmedabad Mirror, a senior official of Central Railway says that this facility has been implemented on eight Vande Bharat trains running under our division and it depends on the availability of seats. Passengers can also book these tickets online.
Railway officials say that this move will especially benefit passengers from tier-2 cities and small towns. This provides more convenience to last-minute travelers and reduces the number of vacant seats in premium trains.
