V-Mart posts strong profit jump in June quarter even as small town demand lags

V-Mart added 15 new stores and shut two underperformers during the quarter, taking its total store count to 510 across 27 states and Union Territories. While store expansion continues, the company is also focusing on improving performance at existing locations.
