IBPS PO, SO 2025 Exam: Institute makes big announcement for candidates; application correction to..; check here for details
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) issued important notices to candidates regarding Probationary Officer (PO) and Specialist Officer (SO) recruitment examinations 2025. The institute has suggested that candidates can apply and make the payment for the extended application deadline before the last date, i.e., July 28, as the server may get overloaded, causing last-minute trouble.
What about the extension window to edit the forms?
In another notice, IBPS mentioned that the candidates for PO and SO examinations would be provided a two-day window to edit their forms after the application process is finished. The window will open on July 31 and will be closed on August 1.
“A candidate will be allowed to correct and re-submit the modified/ corrected application only once during the ‘Edit Window to Modify/ Correct Application Form’ i.e. no updation will be allowed in case a candidate makes a mistake in updated application. Before submission of the corrected application, candidates must check that they have filled correct details in each field of the form.”
It is also important to know that…
- In case of correction of the application form for IBPS PO and SO 2025, a fee of Rs 200 is charged for candidates of all the categories, and it is non-refundable.
- Once the application form is submitted by the candidate, all the entries made by them will be treated as final, and no changes will be entertained thereafter.

How many vacancies, what is the fee and what about the selection process?
These two recruitment exams are being conducted by IBPS for over 6,000 vacancies (5,208 Probationary Officers and 1,007 Specialist Officer vacancies)
The application fee is Rs 175 for SC, ST and PwD category candidates, and Rs 850 for all other candidates. The selection process will comprise 3 rounds.
