‘Cutest application’: Saharanpur kids’ letter to Congress MP wins hearts online
A group of children from Masoodabad Colony in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has taken the internet by storm with a heartfelt handwritten letter to Congress MP Imran Masood, requesting him to clean up their neighbourhood playground, which was the only open space they had to play together in their area.
The letter was shared on Instagram by Masood’s nephew, Qazi Hamza Masood. He described it as the “cutest application.”
The letter struck a chord online, going viral within hours as users flooded the post with likes, shares, and comments, praising the children’s civic sense and innocence. “I am sure MP sahib will definitely work on these children’s requests ASAP,” one user commented. Another wrote, “So is the plot clean now? Show the pictures!”
The open plot is reportedly owned by Imran Masood himself. Although the MP has not yet released an official statement, the viral appeal has drawn widespread attention on the deteriorating condition of community spaces in smaller towns.
