₹16-crore tenders approved for canal bridge project

Construction work on the bridges of the Indira Gandhi Canal (Raj Canal) in Dabwali, Sirsa district, is set to commence shortly. The Rajasthan Irrigation Department has confirmed that tenders worth approximately Rs 16 crore have been approved for the project.

The update came during a review meeting on Friday between Dabwali SDM Arpit Sangal and officials from the Rajasthan Irrigation Department. Officials briefed the SDM on plans for the repair, widening and construction of bridges along the canal in the Dabwali region.

They assured SDM Sangal that the work would begin soon. The project will include both the renovation of existing bridges and the construction of new ones to improve connectivity in the area.

Among those present in the meeting were SE Rama Krishna, Executive Engineer Puneel Kagla, SDO Rajat Chaudhary and JE Subhash. The SDM lauded the department’s efforts and emphasised the importance of ensuring timely and quality execution of the work.
