Prajwal Revanna 'a close associate of Narendra Modi': Congress attacks PM Modi over old campaign video

After a special court in Bengaluru convicted former MP and suspended JD(S) leader Prajwal Revanna in one of the four sexual abuse and rape cases registered against him, the Congress took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, posting an old video of Modi campaigning with Revanna.
In a social media post, the Congress claimed that Prajwal Revanna is a "close associate of Narendra Modi."
"Prajwal Revanna Declared Guilty in Rape Case
ππ‘π¨ π’π¬ π‘π? A close associate of Narendra Modi.
ππ‘ππ ππ’π π‘π ππ¨? Prajwal raped women and recorded nearly 3,000 obscene videos.

Revanna had failed in his bid to retain the Hassan parliamentary constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. JD(S) suspended him from the party following the cases filed against him.
Prashant Bhushan too took potshots at Modi, saying the latter campaigned for "serial rapist Prajwal Revanna."
Prajwal Revanna is the grandson of former prime minister and JD (S) patriarch H D Deve Gowda.
The case in which the former Hassan MP was convicted pertains to a 48-year-old woman who was working as a help at the family's Gannikada farmhouse in Hassan district's Holenarasipura. She was allegedly raped twice in 2021 and the act recorded by the accused on his mobile phone.
Special Court Judge Santosh Gajanan Bhat will announce the quantum of punishment on Saturday.
