Actually, the insurance company has launched LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana, which aims to give women an opportunity to earn a monthly income and empower them. Also, insurance is to be taken to remote areas.
What is LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana?
This scheme of Life Insurance Corporation of India is a dedicated women empowerment initiative. It gives women a chance to become LIC agents. Under this scheme, along with joining, they will also be given training. After joining, the female agent will be given money every month as salary. This step has been taken by LIC to spread awareness about insurance in the women community.

Who will not get its benefit?
If someone is already an LIC agent or employee etc. then he cannot apply under this scheme. Among the relatives, husband or wife, children, parents, siblings and in-laws will not be entitled to apply. Retired corporation employees and former agents are not eligible under this scheme.
Who can apply?
The applicant should be 18 years of age, while the maximum age is 70 years. The applicant must have a minimum 10th pass degree. Under this scheme, Rs 7000 will be given monthly for the first year. Under this scheme, Rs 6000 will be given monthly in the second year as well, but the condition is that at least 65 percent of the policies opened during the first year should remain active.
