Civil Surgeon reviews services at Koom Kalan health centre

The Civil Surgeon, Dr Ramandeep Kaur, today visited Community Health Centre (CHC), Koom Kalan, to assess the quality of healthcare services being provided to the public. The visit aimed at ensuring that all government health facilities maintain the highest standards of efficiency, cleanliness and patient satisfaction.

During her inspection, Dr Kaur carefully reviewed various sections of the health centre, including the OPD, emergency room, pharmacy, and wards. She observed the functioning of medical and support staff, checked the availability of essential medicines and equipment, and inspected patient records to ensure compliance with healthcare protocols.

Where any deficiencies were noticed, she issued clear instructions for immediate rectification. These included streamlining patient registration, ensuring proper medicine dispensing, and improving staff coordination for quicker service delivery.

The Civil Surgeon also interacted with patients and attendants, listened to their experiences and suggestions. She noted patients’ feedback and assured that every effort would be made to address their concerns promptly. Patients expressed appreciation for providing an opportunity to communicate directly with the district’s senior health official.

Dr Kaur said special emphasis must be laid on hygiene and sanitation within the premises of the CHC.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kaur said, “Our priority is to ensure that every patient visiting a government health facility receives prompt, respectful, and quality care in a clean and safe environment. We will not compromise on service standards and cleanliness.”
