'Coolie' vs 'War 2' Day 4 Box Office Collection: Will Rajinikanth movie enter ₹200 club before Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR starrer?

With both Coolie and War 2 set to conclude their first weekend at the box office, fans are wondering how much both movies have earned so far in the first four days. Since August 15 was a holiday in view of Independence Day, both films were treated to an extended weekend at the box office.

Coolie opened to mixed reviews with critics calling out unnecessary characters that did not fit well in the storyline. Fans were thrilled by the 20-minute action-packed climax of the Rajinikanth movie, but the hype around the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial did not reflect in the box office.

War 2, on the other hand, did not impress fans who liked the previous instalment of the YRF universe spy thriller. But the box office earnings increased on the second day despite negative reviews.

How much did Coolie and War 2 earn of Day 4?

Around 5 pm on Sunday, Coolie claimed a ₹18.94 crore net collection from the morning and afternoon shows in India on Day 4. This takes the total domestic net collection of Coolie to ₹178.19 crore, according to Sacnilk.

War 2 also had similar collections from the first two shows on Day 4, bagging ₹18.38 crore. The total collection of the spy thriller was recorded at ₹160.98 crore, reported Sacnilk. Stay tuned for updates on latest figures from the evening and night shows.

Lokesh directorial raked in a net collection ₹65 crore at the domestic box office on August 14, the first day it hit the theatres, while the Ayan Mukerji movie collected ₹52 crore net in India, as per Sacnilk figures.

On Independence Day, Coolie net domestic collection dipped around 16 per cent to ₹54.75 crore while War 2 saw an increase of 10 per cent by collecting 57.35 crore. Saturday was a bad day for both the movies. The Rajinikanth movie's collection plunged nearly 28 per cent to 39.5 crore while the Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR film slumped more than 42 per cent to 33.25 crore.
