War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr NTR, ended its opening weekend on a positive note. Despite facing tough competition from Rajinikanth’s Coolie, the collection remained better yet underwhelming, considering massive star power, a holiday release, and the benchmark set by a Bollywood predecessor. On Monday, the film struggled to impress at the Indian box office, seeing a dip of 76% in its numbers.

In its first four days, the Ayan Mukerji directorial collected an estimated Rs 174.75 crore net across India. The numbers began to decline over the weekend, earning just around Rs 33.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 32.15 on Sunday.

According to entertainment tracking portral Sacnilk, on Monday, War 2 earned Rs 7.52 crore, seeing a 76% dip compared to Rs 32 crore grossed on Sunday. With only 13.59% Hindi occupancy on the day, this marks the lowest daily collection for the film so far.

After 5 days, the film’s total Indian haul stands at Rs 182.7 crore. All eyes are now whether War 2 can sustain its momentum or falls further. Meanwhile, at the International box office, the film earned Rs 274 crore.

War 2 becomes fifth highest Bollywood grossing film of 2025

Within 4 days, War 2 surpassed the lifetime collections of Sitaare Zameen Par. Moreover, in just 24 hours, it also beat Raid 2 (Rs 179 crore) to become the fifth highest Bollywood grosser of 2025.
