The process is available online for both vehicle (RC) and driving license (DL), so that government updates will be available directly on the mobile.
New Delhi: The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has started the facility of updating mobile number online for driving license holders and registered vehicle owners. Now you do not need to go to the RTO office for this. The entire process of updating mobile number and linking it with Aadhaar is available on the parivahan.gov.in portal. What is the matter?
Vehicle owners and license holders are being sent a message from the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, asking them to link, update and confirm the mobile number for their registered vehicle through the Aadhaar authentication process. For this, you have to go to parivahan.gov.in and complete the process. Two QR codes named Vahan and Sarathi have been given on the portal, through which you can update.
How to update mobile number for vehicle (RC)
- First of all you have to go to the website parivahan.gov.in.
- After this, you have to select the option of updating mobile number through Aadhaar.
- Then you have to fill the vehicle’s registration number, chassis number, and engine number.
- You also have to tell the date and validity of registration.
- You have to complete the process by entering the verification code and submitting it.
How to update mobile number for driving license (DL)
- For this, you have to scan the Sarathi QR code on the portal or visit the relevant page.
- After this, you have to fill in the information sought along with your driving license.
- Also, you have to carefully fill in your date of birth, state name and captcha code.
- After completing the process, you have to click on the submit button shown below.
After completing the above process, your mobile number and Aadhaar will be linked to your vehicle or driving license. With this, you will get information about any government update or notice directly on your mobile in future.
