Bhupesh Baghel's son, Chaitanya Baghel, sent to 14-day judicial custody in liquor scam case
Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, has been sent to 14 days of judicial custody by a Raipur court in connection with a money laundering case linked to the alleged multi-crore liquor scam in the state. The order came after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) concluded his five-day custodial interrogation. ED counsel Saurabh Pandey informed the court that Chaitanya Baghel had not been cooperating with investigators. “We found his role in the liquor scam. His police remand ended today, and we sought judicial custody. The court has granted it until September 6,” he said.
