Is Mammootty 'Moothon' in 'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra'? Dulquer Salmaan shares special poster confirming the same

Those who have already seen 'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra' know the big names that appear in the superhero fantasy spectacle. (If you haven't, don't read further.) Among the characters that the Kalyani Priyadarshan-starrer teased was someone... big... named 'Moothon'. Some fans spectulated that the actor playing him could be none other than one of the big 'M's from Malayalam cinema, Mammootty himself.

Now, as though to confirm that it is indeed his father playing this character, Dulquer Salmaan shared a special poster  with the character name 'Moothon' on the occasion of the megastar's birthday. Moothon is the elder — the master and leader of the team of this new brand of Kerala-bred superheroes, who is mentioned a few times in the film, but never seen.

It goes without saying the excitement will reach stratospheric levels if Mammootty shows up in the next instalment of the blockbuster directed by Dominic Arun, and also starring Naslen, Arun Kurian, and Chandu Salimkumar, aside from a few surprise cameos from Malayalam cinema.

'Lokah Chapter: 1 Chandra', which was produced by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films at a budget of Rs 30 crore, has already crossed Rs 150 crore in worldwide box office collection. It is the third-fastest -movie to cross Rs 100 crore in Malayalam and 12th Malayalam film to enter the club overall.
