Mumbai's Aqua Line makes history: India's longest underground metro roars to life with 1.5L riders on Day 1

Mumbai's Aqua Line (Metro 3) has finally opened its entire 33.5km underground corridor, connecting Aarey to Cuffe Parade. The line saw a massive 1,46,087 commuters by 9 pm on its opening day, significantly cutting travel time and costs for residents. This fully underground corridor is now Mumbai's first and the country's longest constructed in one go.
