‘He deserves…’: Amid Gaza ceasefire deal, Netanyahu shares AI-generated photo of US President Donald Trump with….

US President Donald Trump has again claimed that he played a key role in defusing tensions between India and Pakistan by threatening to impose massive tariffs on both countries, saying the move “stopped the fighting” between the two nuclear-armed neighbours. This is not the first instance where Trump has made such a statement. Not once, twice, but Trump has repeated several times that he ended seven wars in the second term of his administration so far, including India and Pakistan, Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, the Congo and Rwanda, Israel and Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia, and Armenia and Azerbaijan. He has, on multiple occasions, expressed his desire to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize as he has solved seven conflicts.

What does the AI-generated image of Trump show?

It appears that Donald Trump’s long-held desire has been fulfilled, at least in a symbolic sense, after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared an AI-created image of him clad in a Nobel Peace Prize medal as others applauded.

Why is Netanyahu calling Trump deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize?

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took to social media to post an AI-generated photo of US President Donald Trump with a Nobel Prize medal draped over his neck and surrounded by people showering him with praise. This came shortly after the ceasefire announcement and hostage release deal in Gaza.

What role did Trump play in the Gaza ceasefire deal?

Earlier, the US announced that Israel and Hamas agreed on the first phase of the Gaza peace plan that includes a ceasefire in the Strip and the release of Israeli captives and Palestinian prisoners. Under the Gaza peace plan, the hostilities in the Strip will be ended with the release of all the hostages held by Hamas and the demilitarisation of the Strip. Israel launched the war in Gaza after Hamas attacked Israeli cities on October 7, 2023, killing about 1,200 people. Hamas also took 251 people as hostages, and over 50 of them are still in its captivity.

Under the plan, Gaza will be a “deradicalised terror-free zone that does not pose a threat to its neighbours” and it will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of the Strip.

On Thursday, Israel’s opposition leader Yair Lapid praised Trump for the hostage deal and said that “there is no person who deserves the Nobel Peace Prize more and, more than that, the eternal gratitude of the people of Israel.”

Lapid also said, “I congratulate his team, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Marco Rubio, and Tony Blair. I congratulate Prime Minister Netanyahu, the commanders and soldiers of the IDF, and above all, the families of the hostages, lions and lionesses who did not allow the world to forget, even for a moment.”
