At the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference held in Mehsana, Gujarat, he announced that the first bullet train will run in August 2027. Vaishnav praised Gujarat for its leading role in the clean energy sector. While discussing the historic transformation of railways in Gujarat, he also shared some key information. He said that a total investment of Rs 1,46,000 crore is being made in the railway sector of Gujarat. In the last 11 years, 2,764 kilometers of new railway lines have been laid in the state, which is equal to the entire railway network of Denmark.

Giving details about the bullet train project, Ashwini Vaishnav stated that work on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed ​​Rail Project is progressing in the Gujarat division. He announced that the first bullet train will run in August 2027 and that the freight corridor in Gujarat has been completed, reducing the travel time of container trains from 30 hours to just 10-11 hours. Approximately 400 trains are running daily on the Eastern and Western Corridors.

The Union Minister also discussed key projects such as the Tata Electronics plant in Dholpur, the Micron manufacturing facility in Sanand, and plants by CG Power and KEC. He specifically mentioned the world’s largest green energy project in Khavada. “In today’s times, when people ask whether manufacturing is powered by clean energy, Gujarat has a clear and strong answer,” Vaishnav said.
