Odisha set to be 1st among nine coastal states to implement MSP

Odisha is set to become the first coastal state to implement a marine spatial planning (MSP) framework, aiming to optimize sustainable use of its vast marine resources. This initiative, following successful adoption in Puducherry and Lakshadweep, will balance ecological, economic, and social objectives to boost the blue economy and foster efficient, safe, and sustainable human activities at sea.
