Ranveer Singh beams with pride as Deepika Padukone becomes India’s first mental health ambassador, says ‘So incredibly…’

On Friday, Deepika Padukone revealed that she has been appointed as the first-ever Mental Health Ambassador, an initiative by the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. As DP made history, her husband Ranveer Singh could be nothing but “incredibly proud” of his wife’s achievement.

On World Mental Health Day, the Pathaan actress met Union Health Minister JP Nadda to discuss partnering with the government on initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness and improving access to mental health care nationwide.

As soon as the announcement was made, Ranveer Singh took to Instagram to share Deepika’s post and became her biggest cheerleader. On the post, he wrote, “So incredibly proud.” His reaction quickly gained attention and went viral.

Deepika, who has been open about her struggle with depression, expressed her hope for building a more mentally strong and resilient India.

“Led by our Hon. Prime Minister @narendramodi, our nation has taken meaningful steps to place mental health at the heart of public health,” she wrote.

She continued, “Through my own journey and the work we’ve done at @tlllfoundation over the past decade, I’ve seen how much is possible when we come together to build a mentally healthy India. I look forward to working under the guidance of Shri @jpnaddaofficial and the @mohfwindia to strengthen India’s mental health framework further.”
