Clear weather will prevail in Delhi, while rain is expected in Uttar Pradesh after the heat.
Weather Update: With the departure of the monsoon from North India, winter has begun to set in. Many states have received relief from the rain. Meanwhile, there is a slight chill in the morning and evening, with bright sunshine during the day. However, the havoc of rain continues in many parts of South India.
According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is still active in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Odisha, Telangana and some parts of Bihar. It may depart from these areas in the next 3-4 days. Meanwhile, rain is likely to continue in various parts of Karnataka, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu.
Cold wave intensifies in hill states
After facing the wrath of monsoon rains, snowfall has now begun in the hill states. Snow has fallen in many parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Kedarnath, in particular, has been experiencing a continuous cycle of rain and snow for the past few days. This has brought a sudden chill to the hill states, with temperatures reaching close to 10 degrees Celsius.
Delhi will be affected
According to the latest IMD update, the weather in Delhi-NCR is expected to remain clear until October 13th. The snowfall in the mountains is affecting Delhi and surrounding areas. Temperatures in Delhi-NCR are expected to range between 18-33 degrees Celsius.
Weather Conditions in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh may also face intense heat today and tomorrow. Temperatures will rise rapidly due to bright sunshine during the day. However, the weather in the state may change from October 13th. Western and eastern winds are expected to bring light rain and strong winds in many areas.
Monsoon to Leave Bihar
The monsoon is still active in some parts of Bihar. It will completely withdraw from Bihar in the next 2-3 days. Most parts of the state may experience mild cold mornings and evenings, with bright sunshine during the day. Temperatures are expected to remain between 20-22 degrees Celsius during this period.
Rain alert in several states
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in South India and Northeast India. Light to moderate rain is expected in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Mizoram, Sikkim, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala over the next 24 hours.
