Malayali cinematographer of 'Premam' for Vijay Devarakonda-Keerthy Suresh movie

Vijay Devarakonda and Keerthy Suresh have previously been in the same movie, but never alongside each other as leads. That is about to change, as the two have commenced shooting for a new film reportedly titled Rowdy Janardhan (not official yet), in which they are the principal leads.
Directed by Ravi Kiran Kola and produced by Dil Raju, the project, which went on floors in Hyderabad on Saturday, is said to be a mass masala entertainer with a rural appeal.
Anend C Chandran, who shot the Malayalam blockbusters Premam (with Nivin Pauly) and Bheeshma Parvam (with Mammoootty) is the director of photography.
Composer Christo Xavier, known for his work in acclaimed Malayalam films such as Bramayugam and Sookshmadarshini, is writing the music. Production designer Dino Shankar, who has worked in Sacred Games and Moothon, is also part of the team.
Anend C Chandran has shot all of Alphonse Puthren's films beginning with Neram, through Premam and Gold. He has worked with director Amal Neerad twice, on Bheeshma Parvam and Bougainvillea.
Notably, Devarakonda's last film with Dil Raju, The Family Star, was shot by Malayali KU Mohanan.
Malayali technicians are increasingly in demand in other languages due to the superlative quality of their output in their home turf. Recently, we saw cinematographers like Girish Gangadharan, Nimish Ravi, and Sudeep Elamon delivering their best in other industries.
Girish has worked with Lokesh Kanagraj on Vikram and Coolie, while Nimish and Sudeep shot the Telugu blockbuster Lucky Bhaskar and the AR Murugadoss action thriller Madharaasi, respectively.
Devarakonda was last seen in the action thriller Kingdom, playing a man who leads a covert operation against a dangerous syndicate helmed by his older brother, while racing against time to thwart and expose an incoming national security threat and battling inner demons.
Keerthy's last was the Prime Video release Uppu Kappurambu. Her upcoming releases include Revolver Rita and the Netflix series Akka.
