Yamunanagar screening plant operators found mining minerals illegally
The operators of a screening plant in Bhagwanpur village of Yamunanagar district were allegedly found indulging in illegal mining of 1,920 MT of minerals like boulder, gravel and sand.
The authorities of Mines and Geology Department, Yamunanagar, have written to the SHO of Haryana State Enforcement Bureau, Yamunanagar, for action against persons involved in this illegal mining case.
According to the information available, Vyaspur SDM Jaspal Singh Gill got a complaint that illegal mining was going on in the area of Bhagwanpur village.
The SDM informed the Assistant Mining Engineer of Mining Department, Yamunanagar, Dr Rajesh Kumar about it over the phone on October 7.
Taking action on the complaint, the Assistant Mining Engineer sent Mining Inspector Aman Kumar on the spot immediately.
Kumar said that during inspection, he found an earth-moving machine carrying out illegal mining on a piece of land situated close to a screening plant in Bhagwanpur village. He said that the earth-moving machine was seized and the driver of the machine told them that the machine belonged to the owners of that screening plant.
He further said that the driver also told them that this illegal mining was being done on the directions of the operators of the screening plant.
“The excavated area was measured and it was found that 1,920 MT of mining minerals had been dug out illegally,” said Kumar.
He said that a complaint had been lodged with the SHO of Haryana State Enforcement Bureau for registration of an FIR against persons involved in this case.
