Kantara Chapter 1 box office collection day 12: Rishab Shetty’s film sees a dip, yet crosses Rs 450 crore

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 has been making waves among masses and industry insiders ever since its release on October 2. After a massive surge over the second weekend, the film’s collections now seem to be dipping off. However, it has still managed to cross the Rs 450 crore mark in India.

According to trade tracking portal Sacnilk, the Kannada language drama had a successful weekend at the box office. The film collected Rs 39 crore on its second Saturday and Rs 39.75 crore on its second Sunday, raking in its weekend total of Rs 100 crore. However, on the second Monday, the film saw a sharp drop and earned only Rs 13.5 crore. Its total domestic box office collection now stands at Rs 451.91 crore.

Total collection= ₹ 451.91 Cr

The Rishab Shetty starrer has managed to surpass several major releases such as Rajinikanth’s Jailer  (₹348.55 crore), Baahubali: The Beginning ( ₹420 crore), Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire ( ₹406 crore) and Saiyaara ( ₹329 crore). However, it is yet to beat the lifetime collection of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava  (₹601.54 crore), which remains the highest grosser of 2025.

Written and helmed by Rishab Shetty, and backed by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under the banner of Hombale Films, Kantara Chapter 1 features Rishab Shetty alongside Jayaram, Rukmini Vasanth, and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles.
