Pocso court sentences man to 20 years RI for rape

A Cuttack court has convicted a man for kidnapping and raping a girl under 12, sentencing him to 20 years rigorous imprisonment and a Rs 65,000 fine. The judge confirmed the prosecution proved the accused's guilt beyond doubt. The victim will receive Rs 6 lakh compensation. The incident was reported in March 2022.
