Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection: Rishab Shetty’s folklore drama sees a boost with Diwali holidays, crosses Rs 500 crore mark day 17

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 finally crossed Rs 500 crore in India on its third Saturday. Released on October 2, 2025, Kantara Chapter 1 is the prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara. Similar to the previous one, Kantara Chapter 1 did wonders on the big screen. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, Kantara Chapter 1’s box office collection stood at Rs 12.50 crore.

The veteran actor revealed that his daughter Shweta Bachchan couldn’t sleep for a few days after watching the film and said, “Firstly, I must apologise for not having seen your films yet — you know how our schedules are. But my daughter Shweta went to see Kantara, and she couldn’t sleep for a few days. She was blown away by your performance, especially the last scene. She kept asking how you got into that zone.”
