Special Trains: Central Railway announces 1702 special trains for Diwali and Chhath; UP and Bihar to run

Indian Railways Special Trains: Due to increased rush on trains during Diwali and Chhath Puja, the Railways is operating special trains. Central Railways has announced the operation of 1,702 special trains for the convenience of passengers. These trains will depart from stations such as Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Kolhapur, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). Earlier, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had announced the operation of 12,000 special trains for the festivals.
Travel will be made easier for thousands of people
Regarding the operation of the trains, CPRO Swapnil Nila said that these trains will travel to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and the Northeastern states. These trains will enable people to visit their families. This will make travel easier for thousands of people. The Railways has created holding areas for passenger convenience. Each area has space for over 3,000 passengers, with facilities such as food, water, toilets, and fans.
Strict action against those sharing videos
On Saturday, the Railways took strict action against those sharing false videos. During the festive season, some social media handles were spreading old or false videos, confusing passengers. More than 20 handles were caught. FIRs are being filed against them, and a 24×7 monitoring system has been put in place. The Railways appealed not to share videos without fact-checking them.

The Railways urged passengers to trust only official information. Follow the Ministry of Railways’ verified handle, @RailMinIndia, on Instagram, Instagram, and YouTube.
