South Western Railway Observes Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 at Rail Soudha, Hubballi

The inaugural program of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2025 was held at the South Western Railway headquarters, Rail Soudha, Hubballi. The observance, which is being conducted nationwide from 27th October to 2nd November 2025, is themed “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

Mukul Saran Mathur, General Manager, South Western Railway, administered the “Integrity Pledge” to the officers and staff of the headquarters. On this occasion, the General Manager also unveiled posters based on the theme of Vigilance Awareness.

A. Annadurai, Senior Deputy General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer, South Western Railway, briefed the gathering on the various activities being organized across the zone as part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025.

In his address, the General Manager emphasized the importance of collective vigilance, highlighting that every individual has a vital role in upholding ethical standards. He underscored the active participation of employees, stakeholders, and citizens in promoting honesty and transparency in everyday life.

Following the inaugural program, the General Manager and senior officers paid floral tributes to the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the Integrity Garden in Rail Soudha and planted a sapling to mark the occasion. The Integrity Pledge was also administered across all divisions, units, and offices of South Western Railway.

As part of the week-long observance, a Walkathon for Vigilance Awareness was organized from the Railway Cricket Ground to Hubballi Railway Station. P. Ananth, Additional General Manager, along with Principal Heads of Departments and other senior officers and staff, participated in the event.
