AISSEE 2026: Three new Sainik Schools have been added to the list of Sainik Schools in the country. Applications are currently underway for admission to Class 9 for the 2026 session, which will close on October 30. The entrance exam will be held in January 2026, the date of which has not yet been announced.

AISSEE 2026: New Sainik Schools have opened in three states across the country, and admissions to Class 9 for the 2026 session are underway. These schools are Sri SPK Public Senior Secondary School, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu (residential), Vadem Nagar Higher Secondary School, Vasco, Goa (residential), and Yogeshwari Sainik School, Ambajogai, Beed, Maharashtra (day boarding). Applications for admission to these schools for the new academic session can be submitted until October 30.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the registration process for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2026 will end on October 30, 2025. Admissions to Class 6 and Class 9 for the 2026 academic session are underway at all Sainik Schools across the country. The number of new schools accepting admissions from Class 6 is 69, and the 19 approved Sainik Schools will also accept admissions for Class 9. Interested and eligible students can apply by visiting the NTA website, nta.nic.in, until 5 p.m. on October 30. The correction window for submitted applications will be open from November 2 to November 4, 2025.

Pattern of the Entrance Exam

The All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) will be held in January 2026 in English medium for Class 9 and in 13 different mediums for Class 6. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions. The exam will be conducted on OMR sheets. For Class 6, the entrance exam will be for 300 marks in 13 mediums, including Hindi and English, and will be conducted in 150 minutes. Language will consist of 25 questions carrying 50 marks, Mathematics will consist of 50 questions carrying 3 marks, and Intellectual Ability will consist of 25 questions carrying 50 marks. The Class 9 entrance exam will last 180 minutes.

When will the Entrance Exam be held?

The AISSEE entrance exam will be held in January 2026. The entrance exam results are expected within four to six weeks, by February 2026.

Application Fee

The application fee for General, OBC (non-creamy layer), and wards of defense personnel and ex-servicemen is ₹850. An examination fee of ₹700 is applicable for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). Candidates can pay the application fee until October 31, 2025.
