Delhi to Jaipur in 3 hours? Rajasthan’s new Kotputli-Kishangarh expressway to cut travel time, have direct connectivity to Khatu Shyam Ji temple

Rajasthan is set to transform road travel with a new six-lane Greenfield Expressway that will cut the travel time from Delhi by nearly three hours. The 181-km expressway will connect Kotputli to Kishangarh, linking several major towns and religious destinations along the way. For travelers heading to Rajasthan, this means a much faster and smoother journey, reducing the current five-hour drive to just about two hours.

According to NDTV, construction on this massive project is expected to begin in December and will cover around 1,679 hectares of land, with a total estimated cost of Rs. 6,906 crore. As reported by DNA, the expressway will be 100 metres wide and 15 feet high, starting from NH-48 and NH-448 in Kishangarh and ending at Paniyala (NH-148B) in Kotputli.

The new expressway will pass through the Gavadi area of Neem Ka Thana and connect several key towns, including Khatu Shyam Ji, Makrana, Nawa, Kuchaman City, and Kishangarh. This route has been planned to make travel smoother not only for daily commuters but also for pilgrims, traders, and tourists who often travel between Delhi, Jaipur, and central Rajasthan.

Apart from cutting down travel time, the expressway will make it much easier for devotees to visit religious sites such as the Khatu Shyam Ji temple, without facing the usual traffic jams. Travelers will also save on fuel and experience fewer delays on the highways they currently use.

The project is expected to boost economic activity in towns known for marble production, agriculture, and small industries. With improved connectivity, businesses in Kishangarh, Makrana, and nearby areas will enjoy faster transport and delivery routes, helping increase trade and regional growth.

This six-lane greenfield expressway will improve connectivity in the state, by connecting Kotputli, Makrana, Nawa, Rupangarh, Kuchaman City, Renwal, Khatu Shyamji, Ringas, Palsana, Khandela, Pachkodia, Anantpura, Deodhi-Kodi, Jaitpura, Rojdi, Akoda, Naraina, Dudu to Kishangarh. The route will pass through a total of five districts.
