Women's World Cup: India Women vs Australia Women: All the unique records from the semifinal clash

The DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai witnessed one of the greatest games in women's cricket on Thursday (October 30) with India downing Australia in a world record chase. Once the Aussies had smashed their way to a monstrous total of 338, not many gave India a chance, even with the batting-friendly conditions at the venue.

The Aussies also misfired between overs 26-40 with the bat by messing up a fab platform that was set by Phoebe Litchfield and Ellyse Perry. To some extent, Ashleigh Gardner's late fireworks compensated for that and the end total was still a stiff one. However, the defending champions were unusually messy on the field and missed crucial catches to compound their misery.

All this shouldn't take away the sensational effort from Jemimah Rodrigues whose fantastic 127* controlled the run chase with aplomb. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur's 89 was equally valuable while the likes of Richa Ghosh and Deepti Sharma weighed in with priceless cameos even though they couldn't bat deep. In the end, India made history to make it to their third ODI World Cup final.
