Sonakshi Sinha married her longtime boyfriend, Zaheer Iqbal, in June 2024. The actress recently opened up about living with her in-laws and the family environment. Sonakshi recalled that before the wedding, Zaheer asked her if she wanted to live separately from her in-laws. However, Sonakshi made it clear that she wanted to live with them. During an interview on Bharti TV, Sonakshi said, “Zaheer asked me before the wedding if I wanted to live separately from my in-laws, but I refused. I told him, ‘I will live with them; if you want to go, you can go.'”

Sonakshi also revealed that neither she nor her mother-in-law cook. “I don’t cook at all. My mother cooks very well, and the only thing is that her daughter doesn’t know how to cook. My mother-in-law doesn’t cook either, and she says you’ve married into the right family. She said, ‘Don’t worry, you’ve come to the right family. I’m interested in eating, not cooking.'”
Sonakshi also spoke about how much her family loves spending time together. She added, “Yes, we go on vacation together. They’re all very laid-back and have a lot of fun together. It’s a very loving, supportive family.”
