SIAM Organises Automotive HR & Skilling Conclave 2025 in Chennai
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) successfully organized the Automotive HR & Skilling Conclave 2025 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This year’s theme, “Accelerating Ahead: HR and Skilling for the Future of Mobility,” focused on preparing India’s automotive workforce for the evolving mobility landscape.
The conclave brought together key stakeholders including government representatives, HR leaders from major automotive companies, consultants, academicians, and industry experts. The discussions centered around new trends in human resource management, skill development, and workforce adaptability in the rapidly changing automotive sector.
Several engaging panel discussions were held on topics such as “Driving Industry Readiness: Aligning Talent, Skills & Business Goals,” “Harmony as a Business Driver: Evolving IR Practices,” and “Healthy, Inclusive & High-Performing: The New Workforce Mindset.” These sessions emphasized the importance of aligning workforce capabilities with emerging industry needs, fostering collaboration between academia and industry, and building inclusive and resilient workplaces.
Addressing the gathering, Thiru C.V. Ganesan, Minister for Labour Welfare & Skill Development, Government of Tamil Nadu, highlighted the crucial role of HR leaders in supporting and managing India’s large pool of skilled automotive professionals.
The event reaffirmed SIAM’s commitment to nurturing a future-ready workforce and driving sustainable growth in the Indian automobile industry by bridging the gap between skill demand and availability in the mobility ecosystem.
