AMCA tie-up: BEL, L&T bring Dynamatic Technologies on board for India's fifth-generation fighter jet programme

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and Larsen & Toubro (L&T), which have formed a consortium to support and compete in India's fifth-generation advanced medium combat aircraft (AMCA) programme, have roped in Dynamatic Technologies, the aerospace manufacturing company specialising in the design and production of high-precision airframe components and aerospace structures, as an exclusive partner.
The partnership between these three companies is expected to offer excellent manufacturing capacity for the AMCA program, as it combines the engineering capabilities of L&T, the electronics and avionics expertise of BEL, and the complex aerostructures and subsystems manufacturing capabilities of Dynamatic Technologies.

"The partnership is as much about building a next-gen fighter jet as it is about redefining the Indian aerospace industrial ecosystem," said Arun Ramchandani, Senior Vice President and Head, L&T Precision Engineering & Systems.
According to him, the inclusion of Dynamatic Technologies as an exclusive partner offers 'unmatched agility and precision' to the consortium.
"Dynamatic Technologies has been at the forefront of building supersonic aircraft structures for the past three decades," said Udayant Malhoutra, CEO and MD of the company, adding that combining this with advanced engineering expertise will ensure a unique partnership with the capabilities required to deliver India’s fifth-generation fighter jet.
"This synergy brings unique strength to AMCA’s development and boosts domestic capabilities in advanced aerospace manufacturing," a BSE filing by Dynamatic Technologies said.
