'Dhurandhar' Ranveer Singh's longest film, final runtime to be revealed soon: Report

Ever since its first glimpse was released, film buffs and Ranveer Singh fans have been anticipatedly waiting for a proper trailer for Dhurandhar. Initially planned for Nov. 12, the trailer launch has been now shifted to Nov. 18.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Dhurandhar will be Ranveer Singh's longest film. A report in Bollywood Hungama says director Aditya Dhar (Uri: The Surgical Strike) wants to ensure that the narrative does complete justice to Ranveer's character arc. “Dhurandhar has a vast and expansive storyline. The focus is on Ranveer Singh’s character and what he goes through, while there are also other actors who have a crucial part. Director Aditya Dhar is clear that he doesn’t want to rush through the narrative and at the same time, ensure that every scene engages and excites the audience.”
As per the source, the final runtime is currently around 3 hours and 5 mins. However, the team is yet to finalise this duration. "The final duration, locked by Aditya Dhar, Jio Studios and B62 Studios, will be known in the next 10 days,” the report added. If the team indeed plans to go along with 185 minutes, it would mark Ranveer's longest film in his filmography.
Ranveer's lengthiest film till now is Dil Dhadakne Do (2 hrs 51 mins).
Dhurandhar's principal cast members include Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun. The team has been revealing the individual character posters one by one.
Lately we have been seeing more big-ticket, multi-starrer vehicles headlined by major stars opting for lengthy runtimes. The most notable examples are the two Pushpa films (starring Allu Arjun), Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, Hrithik Roshan-NTR Jr's War 2, and Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. Both Pushpa 2 and Animal had runtimes of 3 hr 21 min, and still found tremendous box-office success.
The latest example is Dulquer Salmaan's Kaantha, which has a near three-hour runtime.
