Night temperature climbs above 10°C
Dry conditions prevailed in the region on Thursday even as minimum temperatures across Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula climbed back above 10°C, marking a brief pause in the sharp chill that gripped the Tricity last week when the mercury had dipped below 9°C.
The rise in night temperatures has widened the variation between day and night readings, with afternoons remaining comfortably warm.
Chandigarh recorded a minimum of 10.1°C, while the airport station logged 11°C. Mohali remained warmer at 12.3°C, and Panchkula stayed above the 10-degree mark at 10.6°C.
