'Units In Madhya Pardesh's Pithampur Need Not Pay Property Tax'
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The units established in the Pithampur industrial investment area are no longer required to pay property tax to the local urban body.
In this regard, the High Court of Madhya Pradesh has given a decision in favour of the MP Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), said the latter's Executive Director, Regional Office, Himanshu Prajapati on Tuesday Assuring that the other problems the units face will be addressed soon, he said the government has taken effective steps to implement a single window system.
Prajapati was addressing a meeting held at Niryat Bhawan in Pithampur after visiting Pithampur Industrial Area, Smart Industrial Park, Special Economic Zone, Industrial Area Bijepur, and Mohana.
The objective of the meeting was to facilitate the operation of industrial units in Pithampur Industrial Area, which is the leading industrial area of the state, and to discuss the upcoming plans of the MPIDC Officials of SEZ Customs, the District Industries Centre, and the MPIDC were present.
Representatives of agencies handling water supply and maintenance work were also invited so that prompt action could be taken on the problems of the units Prajapati spoke about the MPIDC action plan for the maintenance of the industrial area in the coming monsoon, which mainly includes drainage, cleaning, and repair of the area to deal with the problem of water logging.
He said that for prompt action on applications, a tar-get has been set to implement an e-office system in the regional office within 30 days. At the same time, he said, the file tracking system is also being improved and implemented effectively.
Representatives of the units present mainly requested special attention to the water and electricity supply in the next two months. They were also informed about the traffic problem in the area.
Representative of SRF Ltd., Dinesh Mishra, requested for setting up of new fire stations, and Dheer Arya, present on behalf of Pratibha Syntex, requested speeding up the work of the ESIC hospital. He also requested for increase in police patrols in the area. Prajapati assured them that all such problems can be resolved immediately and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officers.
Those related to other departments will also be resolved soon, he said.
