'First Brick Of Babri Mosque In Ayodhya...': Pakistani Senator Palwasha Mohammad Zai Khan Makes Inflammatory Remarks Against India
Rattled by the strict measures imposed by India on Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed at least 26 lives, Pakistani politicians are spewing provocative statements against Hindus and India.
A clip of Pakistani Senator Palwasha Mohammad Zai Khan's speech in parliament has been circulating on social media, in which she is heard saying, “The first brick of the new Babri Mosque in Ayodhya will be laid by Pakistan Army soldiers, and the first azaan will be given by Army Chief Asim Munir himself.”
The purported clip is said to be from her speech made on Tuesday in Pakistan's parliament. The inflammatory remarks by the Pakistani senator are being seen as an attempt to fuel the already tense situation between India and Pakistan.
“The first brick at the new Babri Mosque in Ayodhya will be laid by Pak Army soldiers, and the first Azan will be recited by Pakistan Army chief Asim Munir,” Zai said while speaking in Pakistan’s upper house of parliament. She further stated, “We are not wearing bangles.”
In an attempt to create a communal divide in India, she added, “If they are threatening Pakistan, then let them know that the Sikh army will not attack Pakistan because it’s the land of Guru Nanak for them.”
Before Zai, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari—rattled by India's decision to review the Indus Water Treaty—had said, “The Indus is ours and will remain ours. Either our water will flow through it, or their (Indians') blood will.”
Meanwhile, during a high-level security meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly expressed full faith in the professional capabilities of the armed forces, stating that they have complete freedom to decide the mode, targets, and response.
