Pakistani stars Instagram accounts blocked in India after Kashmir attack
Popular Pakistani stars Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir, and Ali Zafar on Wednesday evening found their Instagram accounts blocked in India.
This happened just days after a terror attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam where 26 people were killed. Most of the victims were tourists India has accused Pakistan of the attack.

Earlier this week, the Indian government also banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels, saying they were spreading harmful and sensitive content.
Hania Aamir, known in India for her roles in popular Pakistani dramas, shared a message after the attack.

She said, “Tragedy anywhere is a tragedy for all,” and expressed her sympathy for the victims.
Mahira Khan, who acted with Shah Rukh Khan in the 2017 Bollywood film Raees, has not worked in India since 2016, when India put an unofficial ban on Pakistani artists.
After the Pahalgam attack, India took strong steps against Pakistan. These included suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, closing the main land border crossing, and reducing diplomatic ties.
This situation has worsened relations between the two countries and affected artists and cultural exchanges.
