Priya Rani, a resident of Bihar, started her life with great difficulties. When she was young, the people of the village were against her education. But she did not lose courage and came to live in the city with her parents. Her parents worked hard so that Priya could study.

Priya Rani says that the secret of her success is regular study and hard work. She used to wake up at 4 am every day to study. She made Economics her main subject and focused on NCERT books and newspapers. She believes that education is the biggest asset in life.
After getting a degree in Electrical Engineering from BIT Mesra, Priya Rani started preparing for UPSC. In the second attempt, she got a job in the Indian Defense Service, but her dream of becoming an IAS remained unfulfilled. Despite failing in the third attempt, she did not lose courage. Finally, in the fourth attempt, she fulfilled her wish and became an IAS.
It is because of her determination and hard work that Priya has become an IAS officer today. Priya says that about 20 years ago her grandfather took her to Patna for better education. At that time there was a lot of opposition to girls’ education in the village, but her grandfather and father did not abandon her. Priya completed her studies by staying in a rented house in Patna.
Priya Rani comes from Kudkuri village of Phulwari Sharif. She brought laurels to Bihar by securing 69th rank in the UPSC examination. Priya, who grew up in the village, had to face a lot of opposition for her studies, but her grandfather supported her completely and helped her in her studies.
