Withdrawing money from ATM became expensive

From May 1, customers will have to pay an additional Rs 2 for every transaction after crossing the monthly free transaction limit. Till now, banks used to charge Rs 21 for crossing the free transaction limit, but from May 1 today, you will have to pay Rs 23 for this. However, there will be no change in the free transaction limit. This limit will remain the same as before. You will still get 5 free transactions from your bank’s ATM. At the same time, you will get a chance to do 3 free transactions in metro cities and 5 free transactions in non-metro cities from other ATMs. After exceeding the number of free transactions, you will have to pay an additional charge.

Morning tea is expensive

Amul has increased the price of milk by two rupees per liter. The prices of Amul Standard, Amul Buffalo Milk, Amul Gold, Amul Slim and Trim, Amul Chai Maza, Amul Taaza and Amul Cow Milk have been changed. The new prices have come into effect from today, 1 May. Now the price of 500 ml of Amul Gold will be ₹35 (earlier ₹33). Apart from this, the price of 500 ml of Amul Taaza will be ₹29 (earlier ₹27), the new price of Amul Standard 500 ml will be ₹32 (earlier ₹30). Apart from this, 500 ml of Amul Buffalo Milk will be available for ₹38 (earlier ₹36). Also, 500 ml of Amul Cow Milk will be ₹29 (earlier ₹27). Amul Slim N Trim 500 ml will be available at the new price of ₹ 26 (earlier ₹ 24) and Amul Chai Maza/Tea Special 500 ml will be available at ₹ 33 (earlier ₹ 31).

Railway rules changed

Today, from 1st May, the rules of railways have also changed. This change has been made in the matter of ticket booking. Now waiting tickets will be valid only in general coaches. Meaning you cannot travel in sleeper coach with a waiting ticket. At the same time, the advance reservation period has been reduced from 120 days to 60 days.

Price of 19 kg LPG cylinder reduced

On the first of every month, oil companies also change the prices of LPG cylinders. Today, on 1 May, OMCs have reduced the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders. The new prices have come into effect from today. The price of 19 Kg commercial LPG has been reduced by Rs 14.50/cylinder. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders.

Air fuel becomes cheaper

Today on 1st May, OMCs have also reduced the prices of aviation fuel i.e. jet fuel. This is expected to make air travel cheaper in the scorching heat. ATF prices have been reduced by Rs 3954.38/KL. The new rates will come into effect from today itself.
