UP News: Aligarh Man Beats Stray Dogs With Sticks, Molests & Threatens To 'Kill' Female PCS Officer Who Tries To Stop Him; FIR Lodged

When a woman tried to raise her voice against animal cruelty happening right in front of her, she was allegedly abused, molested, and threatened with death by the accused and his aides. The shocking incident was reported from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh, where a woman Provincial Civil Services (PCS) officer became the target after she intervened to stop a man from brutally beating stray dogs with sticks near her house.

The incident reportedly took place on April 24 around 9:30 p.m. when the officer, who regularly feeds street dogs, stepped out for the routine task and saw a man from her neighbourhood attacking the animals with sticks.

She immediately objected his actions. When she asked to stop, he allegedly abused her.

Later, the situation escalated when the accused, accompanied by his sons and other men, some allegedly carrying pistols, walked to her residence to threaten her.

Police action follows

Reporting the incident, Times of India mentioned she also claimed being threatened in front of police officials at the local police station.

An FIR has been lodged and an investigation is underway.

The case was registered under BNS sections 110 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), 191-2 (rioting) and 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), among others, SHO Pankaj Mishra told TOI.

However, the claims made by the female PCS officer are yet to be verified.
