NEW DELHI: Addressing YUGM Conclave, a first-of-its-kind strategic platform bringing leaders from the Government, academia, industry, and innovators together, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Government was modernising the country’s education system to meet the needs of the 21st century. He said the Centre was bringing world-class knowledge within the reach of every student.
PM Modi highlighted at the conclave – held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on April 29 – that a country’s future is dependent on its youth, which is why it is crucial to prepare them for India’s bright future. He noted that the New Education Policy is driving transformation, adding that the trinity of Talent, Temperament and Technology will transform India’s future.
The conclave – also addressed by Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Dr Jitendra Singh – marked a strategic collaboration involving a joint investment of approximately Rs 1,400 crore from the Wadhwani Foundation and key Government institutions. It aimed at catalysing large-scale private investment in the country’s innovation ecosystem, accelerate research-to-commercialisation pipelines in frontier tech, strengthen academia-industry-Government partnerships and foster a national innovation alignment toward Viksit Bharat@2047.
