Players With Multiple Hat-Tricks In IPL Ft. Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal, one of the greatest bowlers in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), added another feat under his cap in the 2025 season by joining the elite list of players with multiple hat-tricks in IPL history.

In the match against CSK, Chahal claimed a hat-trick in the 19th over, dismissing Deepak Hooda, Anshul Kamboj, and Noor Ahmed in succession.

Earlier, he had also taken the crucial wicket of MS Dhoni. His performance helped PBKS comfortably register a win over CSK. This is Chahal's second hat-trick in the IPL. His first came for Rajasthan Royals (RR) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2022, where he claimed the wickets of current captain Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Mavi and Pat Cummins.

While speaking to the broadcasters, Chahal revealed that his plan was simply to go for wickets. He mentioned that he focused on bowling at the stumps, especially since there were five fielders inside the circle.

Here's look at other players with multiple hat-tricks in IPL history:

In the list of multiple hat-tricks in the IPL, Amit Mishra holds the record for the most hat-tricks. He took three hat-tricks: in 2008 against Deccan Chargers, 2011 against Kings XI Punjab, and 2013 against Pune Warriors India.

The second name on the list is Yuvraj Singh, who took two hat-tricks in one season in 2009 for Kings XI Punjab against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and against Deccan Chargers (DCH). Now, Chahal joins him with two IPL hat-tricks.

In the match against CSK, Yuzvendra Chahal also attained the record of claiming four wickets in an over for the second time in IPL.

His first record came while playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Brabourne in 2022. Chahal repeated this incredible feat while playing for Punjab Kings (PBKS) against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chennai in 2025.

He became the fourth player in IPL history to achieve this milestone. The other players to have claimed four wickets in an over are Amit Mishra (SRH vs PWI in 2013) and Andre Russell (KKR vs GT in 2022).
