Rajasthan Police Warns Of Telegram Scams Offering Fake NEET-UG 2025 Papers; Students Urged To Stay Vigilant
Cyber thugs are active on social media, claiming to provide question papers for the NEET-UG 2025 exam, scheduled to be held on Sunday, May 4. The Rajasthan Police have issued an advisory and urged students and parents to beware of such fraudsters.
Director General of Police (Cyber Crime) Hemant Priyadarshi stated that fraudulent Telegram channels have been created, falsely promising leaked exam papers. One such channel, named “NEET PG Leaked Materials,” had around 20,600 members and was allegedly offering leaked papers for the NEET PG 2024 exam. Scammers on these channels are demanding between ₹50,000 to ₹70,000 from students. Several other channels are operating on similar lines.
These cyber thugs often cite the names of printing presses, top rankers, and reputed coaching centres to convince students of the authenticity of the so-called leaked papers.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Cyber Crime Branch have confirmed that all such claims are false and baseless. They have advised students not to fall prey to these scams or pay money to any unknown person or website claiming to leak NEET question papers.
Authorities have also cautioned students against sharing personal information such as roll numbers, passwords, or bank details with anyone.
DG Priyadarshi added that any misleading Telegram channels, apps, or social media handles promoting paper leaks should be reported to the National Testing Agency and the Cyber Crime Branch. Suspicious screenshots, group links, bank accounts, UPI IDs, or wallet details should be reported via the Cyber Helpline number 1930, the Cyber Crime Reporting Portal https://cybercrime.gov.in, or at the nearest police station/cyber police station.
