Chirod sarpanch’s husband attacked over land dispute

Mohlu Ram, husband of Chirod village sarpanch Bala Devi, was allegedly injured in an attack by a group of villagers on Tuesday night over a land dispute.

In a complaint filed with the police, Mohlu Ram stated that the village panchayat had recently passed a resolution to construct Ambedkar Park on land belonging to the panchayat. However, some villagers claimed ownership of the proposed site.

According to the complainant, he was supervising the cleaning of the land when four villagers attacked him, causing a serious injury to his hand.

The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter.
