Mukesh Ambani makes big prediction in front of PM Modi, says this about Pakistan
India’s media and entertainment sector is on the brink of a major transformation, with the potential to grow into a USD 100 billion industry within the next decade, according to Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani. Speaking at the inaugural session of the 2025 World Audiovisual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES), Ambani emphasized that this surge will not only boost the economy but also generate millions of jobs and unlock new opportunities through the fusion of storytelling and cutting-edge digital technologies.
Currently valued at around USD 28 billion, Ambani, who’s Reliance Group owns Network18—one of India’s biggest media companies—along with multiple digital platforms, entertainment channels, and online services, said the industry could grow significantly in the coming years, driven by innovation and entrepreneurship. He added that India has become a global digital leader, and the combination of strong storytelling traditions with advanced digital tools gives the country a unique advantage in the global media industry.
AI can help us share stories globally, says Mukesh Ambani
Mukesh Ambani believes that artificial intelligence (AI) and immersive technologies are transforming how entertainment and cultural experiences are created and shared. These tools, he said, have expanded the reach and impact of storytelling beyond imagination, allowing content to instantly connect with audiences across different languages, countries, and cultures.
Ambani explained that AI can make stories more engaging than ever before. He emphasized that India’s young and talented creators, once skilled in these new technologies, could produce global hits and establish a strong presence in the international entertainment industry.
“Our stories have the power to unite, inspire, and enrich lives. They give hope for a better future,” said Ambani, who is the Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Group.
India’s cultural power lies in its timeless stories
Ambani also highlighted that India’s entertainment and cultural sector isn’t just a symbol of soft power—it’s a real force. With a civilization that stretches back over 5,000 years, India has a treasure trove of timeless stories from epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata to folk tales and scriptures in dozens of languages.
“In our civilisational heritage of over 5,000 years, we have vast treasure troves of timeless tales – from the Ramayana and Mahabharata to folklore and classics in dozens of languages. They touch people’s hearts around the world because they celebrate universal human values – brotherhood, compassion, courage, love, beauty, and care for nature,” he said.
Ambani said that no country can match India’s storytelling heritage. He encouraged the nation to confidently take its stories to the global stage, not just to entertain but to help heal a divided world. He concluded by saying that ancient India is undergoing a remarkable transformation, powered by today’s modern technologies.
“No nation can match India’s storytelling power. Therefore, with great confidence and creativity, let us take our stories globally to heal a divided world,” he added.
What Mukesh Ambani said on the Pahalgam attack

Expressing solidarity, the Reliance Group Chairman said, “All of us gathered here extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims. Modi ji, in this fight against the enemies of peace, justice, and humanity, you have the full support of 1.45 billion Indians. Their defeat and India’s victory are certain.”
Ambani added that this is the spirit of a New India—bold, determined in its dreams, swift in its actions, and committed to surpassing global standards with confidence and purpose.
