Kedarnath Dham Yatra 2025: Temple Gates Open With Flower Shower, CM Dhami Leads the Ceremonies

In the divine land of Uttarakhand, the doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened for devotees at 7:00 AM amidst the resonating chants of Vedic hymns and cries of “Har Har Mahadev.” The sacred atmosphere became even more enchanting as flower petals were showered from a helicopter to mark the grand occasion. The temple has been ornately decorated with 108 quintals of flowers, brought especially from Gujarat, adding to the spiritual magnificence.Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was present at the ceremony, offering prayers and overseeing the traditional rituals. As the gates opened, thousands of pilgrims, many of whom had waited in line overnight, were allowed their first darshan of Baba Kedarnath for the 2025 yatra season.A senior priest highlighted the spiritual importance of the pilgrimage, stating, “Even the mere intent to visit Kedarnath leads to the salvation of 300 generations of one’s ancestors.” He also offered prayers in memory of those who lost their lives in the recent Pahalgam incident and demanded strict punishment for the perpetrators.The occasion marked a perfect blend of faith, tradition, and devotion, as Kedarnath once again welcomed devotees from across the nation.
